Polymorfa vs building on Meta's Cloud API
Meta's Cloud API has no platform fee. You build onboarding, storage, retries and tenancy yourself, and you get the official route only. Polymorfa builds that for you and adds linked-device numbers.
Choose Meta Cloud API if
- You only need the official route and have engineers to build onboarding, storage and retries.
- You want no platform fee on top of Meta charges.
- You are already an approved Meta Tech Provider.
Choose Polymorfa if
- You need linked-device numbers for status, channels or large groups, which the Cloud API does not cover.
- You want hosted customer onboarding, message history and idempotent sends without building them.
- You want official SDKs, an MCP server and a CI test environment.
What the Cloud API leaves out.
The Cloud API does not post status updates or manage channels, and its groups are limited to 8 participants on Official Business Accounts. Linked-device numbers do all three.
Polymorfa connects both routes through one API, so you can serve those use cases without a second integration. Meta's fees still apply to Cloud API numbers.
Embedded Signup, already built.
Onboarding your customers directly requires Tech Provider status, app review and your own Embedded Signup flow. QuickLink gives each customer a hosted page for Cloud API numbers (in beta) and linked-device numbers.
Storage and retries you do not have to write.
Meta media links are temporary and the Cloud API has no message history read. Polymorfa stores media, keeps history (in beta) and accepts idempotency keys, so a retried send never goes out twice.
When to go direct.
If you only need the official route and have engineers for onboarding, storage and support, building directly avoids a platform fee. Meta signs webhooks and retries them for up to 7 days.
Meta's pricing is per template message and per business-initiated call minute; service replies are free. Polymorfa does not remove or discount Meta's charges.

Checked against each vendor's public website and documentation on 24 September 2026. “Not listed” means we did not find the capability on those pages. It does not mean the product lacks it. Prices are list prices shown publicly on that date and exclude Meta's fees and taxes unless stated.
